Welcome to a new year at the University of Arizona! Whether you are a brand new student or this is your last year on campus, Wildcat Welcome is here to help you start the year off right! For ten action-packed days we help you get settled on campus, make new friends, find your way around, find resources to make you successful, explore different groups and communities, and learn what it means to be a Wildcat.

 

Events You Don't Want to Miss

 

Wildcat Fiesta

Kick off the year with the Wildcat Fiesta experience! Students and families will be welcomed to the University community with great food, entertainment and special guests from across campus. The Wildcat Fiesta will be held on Thursday, August 16 at 6:00 pm.

UA Clicks

UA Clicks is a required program for all new Wildcats which helps you to learn what to expect on the first day of class.  We will be introducing you to the systems and technology your faculty will use in and out of the classroom and you will get tips on what to do to be prepared for college life.  Additionally, you will recieve your Turning Technologies Response Wear clicker, a devices you will use in many of your classes to earn participation points.  Your assigned UA clicks session is based on your academic college, so check your CatMail for details on where and when to attend UA Clicks on Friday, August 17.  And don't forget your CatCard! We will be checking you in to the event, and you'll need the card to be marked as present.

New Student Convocation

New Student Convocation is the must attend event of Wildcat Welcome! You'll hear from the University of Arizona President, Provost, VIces Presidnet of Student Affairs and more as they welcome you to your first semester on campus.  Wilbur, Wilma, the Cheer Team and Pep Band will also join in on the fun to teach you about UA pride and tranditions.  And whatever you do, don't leave early, the event continues into the night as we celebrate the stat of the new year!  Oh, and did we mention the free t-shirt?  Come prepared to BEAR DOWN, Sunday, August 19, 6:00pm, McKale Cent
